  1. Help: - controlled connections                                      17.03.93
  2. Net-Control gives you the possibility to supervise connections
  3. between two ethernet partners in reference to a minimum and to
  4. a maximal limitimg value for the number of exchanged packets per
  5. minute. The destination address must not correspond to a real
  6. ethernet station; it can be also a multicastaddress.

  8. The supervision of connections recommends itself, if you have
  9. certain ≤normals≥ at the network, from which you know, that they
  10. must send in a certain period of time at least one packet (as a
  11. ≤life sign≥). If your network is supplied with ⌠pulsars⌡, you
  12. should input these connections here. The default destination
  13. address of the pulsarpackets is always ⌠0000FB585858⌡.

  15. ≤Fields to edit for each controlled connection:≥
  16. - The name of the connection (maximum 6 characters).
  17. - The source hardwareaddress (hexadecimal).
  18. - The destination hardwareaddress (hexadecimal).
  19. - The minimum limiting value for the amount of the packets
  20.   to be registered in a minute.
  21. - The corresponding maximum value.
  22. - The alarm conditions.

  24. The list of the connections is sorted for the names.
  25. Max. 100 connections can be controlled.
